‘CONECTADOS’

Rodobens developed “Conectados”, an innovative tool based on data from Mercedes-Benz’s Fleetboard system. Its purpose is to measure vehicle and driver performance in order to enhance driver efficiency, reduce social and environmental impacts, and optimize vehicle performance—promoting a strong connection between information, technology, and sustainability. The system supports ESG goals by helping reduce fuel consumption, pollutant emissions, and waste generated by the fleet. It also contributes to road safety, driver health and well-being, and provides transparency in data, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The project was the winner of the 2023 ECO Award, granted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil (AMCHAM), in the Products and Services for Large Companies category. The award recognizes companies with the best ESG practices in Brazil.

ECOPONTO RODOBENS

The “Ecoponto Rodobens” Program at the Commercial Vehicle Dealerships is an important instrument for complying with Law No. 12.305/2010, which establishes the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), regarding how society should handle generated solid waste, with emphasis on the Principle of Shared Responsibility and Reverse Logistics.

The Ecoponto aims to collect used lubricating oil, as well as its packaging, through capture in the service workshop and voluntary delivery of oil purchased over the counter.

CLEAN ENERGY

With the goal of reducing environmental impact and lowering electricity costs, since 2019 we began implementing the Clean Energy Program at our Automotive Retail dealerships. Today, the initiative is present in 60% of our stores, promoting the diversification of low-impact renewable energy sources through partnerships with investors. The expectation is that by the end of 2023, the project will be implemented in 80% of our units.

SUPPLY CHAIN

With a focus on maintaining a supply network aligned with ESG practices, all suppliers are evaluated based on governance criteria, aiming to ensure ethical business conduct and the confidentiality and integrity of information, in compliance with and adherence to the LGPD (General Data Protection Law). Social, environmental, and occupational health and safety criteria have also been incorporated into the supplier approval process to ensure sustainable management and reduce exposure to social and environmental risks associated with supplier activities.
